A wee bit of 'pop' using the new Watercolour Pencils!

Super pretty!  This bundle is a must-have!

I love how the pretty Under the Mistletoe DSP brings a festive mood to this card!
I used the Stitched Season framelits to create a framed space for the sentiment - all popped up with dimensionals.  Then using my Cherry Cobbler blender pen, I coloured the pearls & also on Sparkle Glimmer Paper & die cut the bow.  Simple & pretty!

For this card I used my new Watercolour Pencils to colour the leaves, then used the Stitched Season framelits to die cut the 'greenery'.

It gets even better!  Bonus Days are Back!

Tropical Chic - Stampin' Up!

Happy Friday!  I'm soooo not good at keeping a fun secret, but I managed!  I had asked my readers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to vote on a colour combo that I would use in my Lolly & Sand Fun Friday video on Facebook.

Here's the choices they were given:

Row 1 was the combo with the most votes - so that's what I made in my video today!

What a pretty combo for the Tropical Chic stamp set - Lemon Lime Twist, Highland Heather & Coastal Cabana

After stamping the sentiment, I die cut it using a circle die from Stitched Shapes Framelits, and adhered it to a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock that I had die cut with one of the Layering Circle Framelits.

Once everything was stamped I added a layer of Lemon Lime Twist & adhered everything to a Highland Heather base.

What my viewers didn't know....and this is the fun secret - I had made up cards in the other colour choices to show them!  Check out these cards...

I love how these colours practically pop off the page!  Granny Apple Green, Tranquil Tide and Shaded Spruce on Whisper White...pop!

The images are so crisp and clean!
I think this is a wonderful testament to the quality of the stamps from Stampin' Up!

All the stamps I used are from the Tropical Chic set.  I'm so delighted whenever I see a sentiment with more than one style of font!  Pretty!!!

Now...my last card was even more of a surprise! Although my voters didn't know what stamp set I would be using, even I gave a big WOW when I saw the finished card.  Big WOW!

Smoky Slate, Basic Gray & Gray Granite.  I think I'm in love!

I used Smoky Slate for both words - die cut from Sunshine Wishes & Celebrate You Thinlits, but I felt they looked a little bland.  Wink of Stella to the rescue!!  The sparkle was precisely what was needed!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on these card & colour combos.  Do you have a fave?
Please feel free to leave me a comment.

A Challenge & a Great Deal

I retired a few years ago, and quite frankly, I've been pretty laid back.  Stuff happens when it happens, or it doesn't.  Not too long ago though, I made a decision to challenge myself.  To step out of my comfort zone.

Baby Steps
A few weeks ago, I asked my upline if I could speak at our meeting upcoming team training day.  Totally did not know what I was going to say.  Sooooo, the night before (ahem...procrastinate much!!), I wrote four double-spaced pages.  I also discovered the night before that there would be 18 in attendance. Yipes!  Skip forward to the meeting. I was nervous.  My heart was pounding. But, you know what?  I did it.  I talked - not sure how fast, perhaps like an auctioneer, but I did it!  That was an accomplishment I can say I'm proud of because I met my challenge head on!

Big Leap
One challenge done, and it's on to the next!  When I joined Stampin' Up!, I joined for the discount.  Then I decided to work on the business a bit. Through sales, I promoted, and just this year, promoted again and I currently hold the title of 'Silver'.  You know what's coming next!  I've now made a decision to give myself a major challenge, and that's to promote to 'Silver Elite'.  Will it be easy - gosh no.  I have some work ahead of me. I need to run classes, hold workshops, go to events, get my buns in gear!

Team
I currently have two people on my team and we now have a name! Stampin' Up! just approved my choice of team name!  We are......

Cute, eh!  I wanted cute, fun, clean & simple.  Ta da!  Can you tell I'm excited!!

Naturally, I would love to have people join my little stamping family!  Now is the best time!  Why?
Check out this comparison.

To complete this comparison - take the $319.76 and subtract the $135 = $184.76.  By purchasing the starter kit you have saved $184.76.   It's clear which makes sense....so what are you waiting for??
You can be a discount demonstrator, enjoying your 20% discount or choose to build a business.  It's entirely up to you.  No pressure.  Ever.

Please note: this great deal ends on July 31/18.
I'm happy to answer questions you may have, so please feel free to contact me here.

Christmas in July Blog Hop!

Happy Sunday, and welcome to our monthly blog hop!  My upline issued a challenge, which was to create a Christmas card with current Stampin' Up! products for our team meeting yesterday...but, to think outside the box, using non-Christmas stamp sets.  It was tricky, and I definitely struggled, then I kind of went waaaay out of the box, using a die that I wouldn't have considered Christmasy (I don't think that's a word!)   We swapped cards at the meeting and they were all brilliant and beautifully designed!

Here's my card.  I started with a base of Lovely Lipstick, then added a layer of Blueberry Bushel that I had embossed with the Map Etc TIEF.

Next, I cut strips of  In Colour 6"x 6" DSP approximately 1/2" to 3/4" and glued them onto Whisper White cardstock.

It was then just a matter of die cutting the word 'celebrate' from the Celebrate You Thinlits.
Did I mention I made 14 identical cards?

I was looking for a suitable background, and Whisper White was the best choice.  Before ahering 'celebrate' to the card I embossed this layer with my Softly Falling TIEF.
By the way....I used mini dimensionals, cut in half, to pop up 'celebrate.'

Production mode is the way to go when making multiple cards, from cutting card stock to embellishments.

At this stage, I was thinking - almost done!!  But first, I had ribbons to attach and 14 bows to make using the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.

Ta da! Here's the finished card!  What do you think....totally out of the box?!
I see a card that could also be used for birthdays, wedding...and more!

Before I go....I want to make sure you are aware of this Stampin' Up! offer!
