International Highlights Top Ten Winners Blog Hop

Welcome to Kylie Bertucci's Top Ten Winners Blog Hop!  I'm honoured and super excited to be one of the winners!  Special thanks to everyone who voted for my October entry!

The theme for the month is 'Sorry', and here's my project:

I love the 'warmth' of this sentiment, and I think a card such as this can be used for many occasions to express sorrow.

The sentiment is from Ribbon of Courage, and stamped using Bermuda Bay. I love how pretty it looks and that it fits perfectly into the Foliage Frames Die.  The sentiment layer is popped up on Dimensionals.

Using the Share What You Love specialty DSP, along with Mint Macaron cardstock embossed with the Climbing Vines TIEF helped create a softness to the card, along with the Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon. The DSP & cardstock are supported by a Basic Black layer.

For a bit more interest, I added a bit of Chicken Wire Elements, which are from the Holiday Catalogue, and a couple of sprigs from the In the Woods Framelits.  For those, I used Whisper White & Tranquil Tide.

Using Bermuda Bay, I stamped the inside sentiment, from Ribbon of Courage.  Don't you just love the different fonts?!  So pretty!  I again used a sprig from the In the Woods Framelits.  In Whisper White, they are the perfect little detail.

Thank you so very much for stopping by my blog!  Be sure to check out all the people in the blog hop!

Halloween Blog Hop!

Welcome to our monthly Stamping Symphony Blog Hop!  With Halloween coming up soon, it seemed like a perfect theme!

No trick - I have a treat for you!  Two Halloween cards!

Begin with a Basic Black base cut at 4 1/4 x 11, and scored at 5 1/2.
Next, cut Whisper White cardstock 4 1/8 x 5 1/2.  That's what I did, however if you want to see the Basic Black base, cut at 5 1/4 rather than 5 1/2.

Now comes the fun part - tear the Whisper White piece into uneven strips.
Then, ink up a Sponge Dauber in Basic Gray and run the dauber along the torn edges, and adhere the strips using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.
You can find googly eyes in your local craft store.  Adhere with the same glue as used for the cardstock, tucking one of the eyes a bit under a layer.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink for the sentiment, from Itty Bitty Greetings.

Let's not forget about the inside of the card!
Cut Whisper White at 4 x 5 1/4.
Tear a strip of Daffodil Delight Paper - about 1 1/2 wide.
Die cut Whisper White paper using the Large Letter Alphabet.
For each of the above pieces, use Basic Gray ink & your Sponge Dauber on all edges, then adhere with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Now for our next 'spooky' card!

Cut your Old Olive base cut at 5 1/2  x 8 1/2, and scored at 4 1/4.
Next, cut Old Olive 4 1/8 x 5 1/2.
For the 'teeth', tear Whisper White cardstock roughly into similar shapes.
Do the same Sponge Dauber technique as the first card and adhere the pieces.
Adhere the googly eyes.

With your Labeler Alphabet set, stamp the word BOO in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Old Olive cardstock, then use your Classic Label punch, punching close to the letter B.  Slide the punched sentiment back into your punch & cut again close to the second O.  Once again, use your Sponge Dauber around the edges.

Tear another roughly in a rectangle shape, and stamp the sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Pop up the sentiment using Dimensionals.

Here they are - 2 super cute, super easy, not too scary, kid-friendly cards!

EasyStamparatus Stamping! Stampin' Up!

Ah...the Friday of a long weekend here in Canada!  I hope you get an opportunity to get outside and enjoy the weather, and the beautiful fall colours! The best!

I have a quick video for you, plus the measurements for this card!
In this video I'm demonstrating the fabulous Stamparatus! Talk about making stamping easy!!
Make one card or multiples with this awesome stamp positioning tool.
Remember to share my videos to be entered into my Prize Patrol Draw!

Start with the base of the card. Lovely Lipstick cut at 4 1/4 x 11 & scored at 5 1/2 (all in inches)
Basic Black layer - 2 1/8 x 5 3/8
Whisper White layer - 2 x 5 1/4
Whisper White inside layer - 4 x 5 1/4

Per the video, place your Whisper White layer in the Stamparatus.  I used Lovely Lipstick ink for the sentiment from the Floral Frames Stamp set.

This stunning rose image is from Healing Hugs.  I stamped directly onto the card base using the Stamparatus for two of the roses, then again onto a scrap piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock. It was super easy to fussy cut the rose.  I popped it up on dimensionals for added depth.

Using the same rose, I stamped off the ink, pressing lightly onto my grid paper, then onto the Whisper White inside layer.  I love the softness of the image achieved by stamping off.

I added a few Faceted Dots for a finishing touch!
Simple & pretty!

Now....I have a few exiting bits of news for you:

A Timeless Tidings card with Stamparatus - Stampin' Up!

It's a rainy day in paradise, and I couldn't be happier!  Do you ever find that regardless of rain, snow, heat, or whatever Mother Nature throws at us, we can choose to be happy?  I choose happy!

Let's get to the card I made this morning!

My feature product this week is the Stamparatus, which is the best stamp positioning tool on the market!
Yay, Stampin' Up!

Cut all the required piecing, starting with the base of the card. Mossy Meadow cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 & scored at 4 1/4 (all in inches).  Next the Mossy Meadow layer - 3 1/2 x 5 1/2, Merry Merlot strip - 1 1/2 x 5 1/2, and the Whisper White inside layer - 4 x 5 1/4.

Place the Mossy Meadow layer into the Climbing Vine embossing folder, and run it through the Big Shot, then adhere it to the card base.   Next, emboss the Merry Merlot strip using the Corrugated embossing folder.  Use ample Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere this layer.

Please follow my instructions on the video on how to place the two stamps from Timeless Tidings in the Stamparatus. I went with the same colour combo for the inks as the base & layer, and Whisper White for the sentiment layer.  Can you see the 'stitching' on the Whisper White layer? That's from one of the Stitched apes Framelit Circle die!  A lovely addition!  Take a Layering Circle Die & run it through the Big Shot with a Champagne foil piece.  Adhere the sentiment layer to the die cut foil circle, and pop it up with Dimensionals.  Add 3 pearls to the layer.

I wanted a rustic look, thus the colour combo, and a little help from Wink of Stella.  I meant to use clear, but I used white, so it has a paint-splatter look, which I don't mind.

From Timeless Tidings, I stamped the trees & sentiment in Mossy Meadow, leaving lots of room for a personalized note.

And, the finished card.  Sweet & simple!
Let me know if you like my card!
