Lolly & Sand: Ornate Garden & a Blog Hop!

I L-O-V-E the Ornate Garden DSP with all the lovely patterns and gold foil! For this card, I cut a 3 x 4 piece, and decided to colour with my Stampin' Blends...but the not entire paper. As I started adding Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate, I realized how much I was loving it partially coloured, thus what you see today! The layer behind the DSP is Gold Foil, which goes beautifully with the gold in the paper!

Next, using the Ornate 3D folder, I embossed Smoky Slate & Bermuda Bay cardstock, and with the 2 pieces together, I cut them on an angle. That Whisper White scalloped trim was cut using the Ornate Borders Dies, as are the sprig of buds you see just above the sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment, from Ornate Thanks, in gold.

I was thinking - why not make this same card, but in Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake! You can see me making this card in the video a bit further down in this post!
