I started with a Whisper White Thick card base and layered it with Whisper White that I embossed using the Tasteful Textiles 3D folder. Measurements are given in my video (below).
Thankfully the man in brown brought my new Rainbow Glimmer Paper! I've been oooh'ing and aaah'ing over the paper since it arrived! Using the Playful Alphabet dies, I cut the letters twice - once in Whisper White that I had embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D folder - this piece worked at the the negative to place the letters and then using Rainbow Glimmer Paper. Before adhering the 'Love', I wrapped Gold Trim, from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack, around my fingers and used Glue Dots to position the trim. To get the whispy ends, I simply unravelled the trim a bit.
I'm a bit fan of 'less is more', thus I decided to use one butterfly, cut using the Butterfly Duet punch, and again, in Rainbow Glimmer Paper!
This card starts with the same style of base & embossed layer as the first card, and I used Basic Black cardstock. I love how the colours of the glimmer paper pop! I thank my son for inspiring this card. His recent pics of Jupiter & its 3 moons that got me thinking! How handy is it that all of the 'planet's on my card were made using the Playful Alphabet dies!
In my video, you'll see a nifty tip on how to adhere the letters to the Foam Adhesive Sheets. It's a tip I picked up from UK demo Martin Stone. In case you're wondering, yes, I wanted the letters to be a bit wonky. The letters are adhered to a half in piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that was embossed using the Dainty Diamonds 3D folder.
