Our blog hop this month showcases FALL - yay! I was so inspired by my country drive yesterday, I decided to feature leaves on my card. What a mix in this card - rustic, textures and a bit of bling.
I started with a Basic Black base and layer. The layer was embossed using my Petal Burst TIEF. Before adhering the layer, I attached Burlap Ribbon with glue dots. Then using one of my Stitched Shape Framelits, I die cut the square in Copper Foil Sheet paper, which I then popped up with Dimensionals. Next, I stamped the leaf from the Colourful Seasons Bundle onto Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, and Garden Green, using Early Espresso ink.
This lovely sentiment is from the Ribbon of Courage set. Using Early Espresso ink, I stamped the sentiment onto Wood Textures DSP, then die cut the circle with my Stitched Shape Framelits.
Each of the leaves are popped up using Dimensionals. Depth and texture - love!
I'm lovin' the Wood Textures DSP, thus here it is on the inside of the card. The sentiment and leaves, both from the Colourful Seasons Bundle, are stamped in Early Espresso.

ReplyDelete*Blush* Thank you Leena - I learned from the best :-)
DeleteI would've never thought to use a black card base for a fall card, but it's striking!! Love the colour combo you chose Sandy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Steph! I had tried several other card base colours, but the card didn't 'light up' until the black. It's that ah-ha moment, when you know you've got it right :-)
