Lots of Lavender & a Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Tri-City Stampers 2018 January Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is 'Bright & Cheery' projects using Sale-A-Bration products! At the end of this post you'll see a list of blogs to hop your way through.

For my project, I chose Lots of Lavender stamp set, and the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies. Both are FREE during Sale-A-Bration! Here's my first card...

If I had to describe this card in one word, I would say delicate. I started with a base of Pink Pirouette cardstock, and ran it through my Big Shot using the Petal Pair Embossing Folder, which you'll find on page 23 of the new Occasions catalogue.
Does Pink Pirouette reminds you of the movie Pretty in Pink?  It does for me!

I'm a total rookie when it comes to using Stampin' Blends, but they are so easy to use! Did you know you could almost earn 3 Sale-A-Bration rewards when you purchase the Stampin' Blends?
The blends I used on this card are Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry. Once coloured, I simply snipped around the image.

There can't ever be enough sparkle for me! I die cut the sentiment 'Celebrate' in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, and also used it for one of the layers under the flowers.  Layering Ovals Framelits are a definite must for any crafter!

Other than using different colours, my second card is identical. Would you agree Pool Party is such a fresh pretty colour?!

I'm lovin' the blues!  The Stampin' blend colours I used are Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight

I'm leaning toward the Pool Party card as my favourite of these two cards. How about you?

I had a so much fun making both cards and am delighted with the Stampin' Blends.  They were dreamy to use!

Thank you for hopping with us!  Our next blog hop will be on Feb 15.

Tri-City Stampers Fall Blog Hop!

Welcome friends to the Tri-City Stampers monthly blog hop!  I'm not excited to see summer go, but, truth be known, I LOVE the fall.  I was out for a country drive yesterday and saw leaves turning to gorgeous fall colours.  Amazing!

Our blog hop this month showcases FALL - yay!  I was so inspired by my country drive yesterday, I decided to feature leaves on my card.  What a mix in this card - rustic, textures and a bit of bling.

I started with a Basic Black base and layer.  The layer was embossed using my Petal Burst TIEF.  Before adhering the layer, I attached Burlap Ribbon with glue dots.  Then using one of my Stitched Shape Framelits, I die cut the square in Copper Foil Sheet paper, which I then popped up with Dimensionals. Next, I stamped the leaf from the Colourful Seasons Bundle onto Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, and Garden Green, using Early Espresso ink.

This lovely sentiment is from the Ribbon of Courage set.  Using Early Espresso ink, I stamped the sentiment onto Wood Textures DSP, then die cut the circle with my Stitched Shape Framelits.

Each of the leaves are popped up using Dimensionals. Depth and texture - love!

I'm lovin' the  Wood Textures DSP, thus here it is on the inside of the card.  The sentiment and leaves, both from the Colourful Seasons Bundle, are stamped in Early Espresso.

Thank you for stopping by my little blog!  Please be sure to check hop on over to the rest of the Trip-City Stampers blogs:

Carols of Christmas - Blog Hop

Happy Happy Friday and welcome to Tri-City Stampers Blog Hop. We have another team member joining our hop, so be sure to hop hop hop!

Today's card features Carols of Christmas Bundle! It's an early release that you can get your hands on now, yes now, before the Holiday Catalogue goes live!  And, you can use your Bonus Day Coupons - redeem them before the end of August!

I went non-traditional with my card, opting for a Basic Black base, and Wood Textures DSP for the layer. die cut with the new 'Card Front Builder' frame in the bundle.  There are two large greetings in the Carols of Christmas set - Deck the Halls, and Peace on Earth. I chose the latter because there is nothing I'd rather see than peace, on earth.  My guess is you feel the same. I stamped the greeting in Basic Black then die cut it using one of my Stitched Shapes Framelits.
The tree dies are spectacular! I cut two sets of trees using Wood Textures DSP,  the third in Gold Glimmer Paper and glued all three offset layers together.  The sweet little deer (also in the bundle) is die cut in the same DSP as the layer.  The greeting and trees are all popped up using dimensionals.

Here's another look at the trees.  What do you think?  Are you loving this bundle? Think of all the possibilities!! Definitely more than just for Christmas!

This sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set.  Check it out - three different and fun fonts!
I just had to add one more deer to complete this card! Fun!
