Welcome Crafty Friends to my blog! I do want to say Thank You to everyone who voted for my card. It truly is an honour to make it into the Top Ten, and I couldn't have done it without your support! You can view the card I entered HERE.
Here's my card for this blog hop - a slimline card....my first attempt! To make this card, I started with a Whisper White Thick base. If you've seen our Aug-Dec Mini Catalogue, you've likely seen the Magic in This Night DSP. Psssst....it's not just for Halloween! I've used 2 pieces of the DSP - the harlequin pattern and black & white floral, which I coloured using my Sponge Brayer & Daffodil Delight ink.
I L-O-V-E this sentiment from Ridiculously Awesome and it's a standout heat embossed in White onto Daffodil Delight cardstock! Plus, it fits perfectly in one of the Stitched Nested dies!
The flowers from All Things Fabulous are 2-step, which adds lovely depth to the flowers. The pink flowers were stamped first with Magenta Madness, then Melon Mambo. For the yellow flowers I used 3 stamps - first Daffodil Delight, then So Saffron, and lastly Crushed Curry. All the leaves were stamped using Pear Pizzazz, then all the flowers & leaves were cut using the coordinating dies as was the lacey piece behind the sentiment & flowers.
I added a bit of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Elegant Faceted Gems to complete this pretty card!
