Boughs & Blossoms | Flowers from the Mini | Positive inkers Global Design Team | Blog Hop

Happy first day of April and welcome to our 'Flowers from the Mini' Positive Inkers Global Design Team blog hop! Exciting! Links to the hop & my Video Tutorial are further down in this post...enjoy!

With such a delightful theme, creating my card using the Boughs & Blossoms Bundle from Stampin' Up! was a joy, especially stamped in bright and bold colours!

Why haven't I used more of the Vellum Layering Designs?  What a fabulous background for the card! I love it!  It's subtle, yet lends a pretty texture.

Yes....I slipped a little layer peeking out under the flowers to add contrast and a base for the flowers.  The die I used is from Ornate Flowers - sad to see the dies retiring, but happy for you as they're on sale right now!

Did you overlook this bundle in the Mini?
I only purchased the bundle a month ago, and happy I did because I love the floral images and greenery, plus the lovely greetings! And of course the punch - with a sprig & leave - brilliant!

Do you decorate the inside of your cards?  I couldn't resist stepping up the card inside with another die cut from the Ornate Layers dies!  As always, I had flowers and leaves leftover just perfect to add more pizzazz to my card!

I love 'a little hello' as a greeting!  I heat embossed it using white powder, and cut it using one of my absolute favourite dies called Messages.  Sadly, it too is retiring, but good news - it's on sale.  Do you love it also?  Make your purchase soon, before it sells out and is gone forever.
