Paper Florist Dies | Positive Inkers Design Team | Blog Hop

Thank you for dropping by my blog today!  Happy June!  You are in for a treat!  Our Positive Inkers Design Team are ready to WOW you with our Sketch Challenge blog hop using Stampin' Up! products of course!

Here's my finished card.....

Question for you - when you flipped through the pages of the catalogue or looked online, did you notice the Paper Florist dies?  I did!  And if you're like me, once you see them, these dies will be on your shopping list!

Soooo, I used the new Paper Florist dies to create this lovely card.  Are you a subtles person?  Fresh Freesia, Bubble Bath & Soft Seafoam sure look pretty together.  I bet you're imagining so many awesome colour combos!

Do you love a good challenge?  Try out our sketch!  I love sketches because you're free to interpret them and use your creativity!

Sweet details on the petals, greenery and the fringed piece - all from the Paper Florist dies!

Texture - love it!  Have you seen the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder?  For my card, I've used the debossed side of the paper for an understated look.

Oh...and let me ask you - how cute is the sentiment stamped on one of the patterns from the Bright & Beautiful DSP!  Was that really a question 😄   Love You - such a sweet greeting from Timeless Arrangements!

Well, my friends, that's my take on the Sketch Challenge.  Your thoughts please - feel free to leave a comment.

Beautifully Happy | Favored Flowers | Sale-a-bration | Blog Hop

Hello Friends!  It's the 15th of the month and time once again for our team blog hop!  Our theme is to use 2 Sale-A-Bration freebies in our projects and I can't wait to see what everyone has created!

New to Sale-A-Bration?

Here's my card....

I fell head over heels in l-o-v-e-with the depth of colours in the Sale-A-Bration Favored Flowers paper from Stampin' Up!  The flowers are stunning!

I'm not the best fussy cutter in town, but this paper made it so easy!  I cut out each of these flowers from the edge of the paper.  Watch my YouTube video below for full details and measurements.

Do you decorate the inside of your cards?  I do!  And I went a little bold, but can you blame me? 😊

My 2nd Sale-A-Bration freebie I used is one of the sentiments from the Beautifully Happy stamp set!  Another gorgeous Sale-A-Bration offering!

Mistletoe Magic | Stampin' Blends | Christmas Card | Positive Inkers Design Team Blog Hop

Hello again crafty friends! And happy September! It's time again for our Positive Inkers Design Team blog hop and this month, our theme is Christmas/Seasonal! I'm super excited to see what the design team has created!

Here's my card!

I'm happy to introduce you to the lovely Mistletoe Magic stamp set from Stampin' Up! And in my video you'll learn how to use Stampin' Blends and add texture to your cards. I want to mention, silly me, that I meant to order the Mistletoe dies and totally forgot. Sooooo....just so you know...there is a Mistletoe Magic Bundle available.

MISTLETOE MAGIC Stamp set  #159731

Watch my YouTube video further down in this post to get tips on using Stampin' Blends.  They're so easy to use! You'll love them!

I talk a lot about texture - it's a simple way of adding interest to your projects. Having said that, it's important to make sure there's a balance.  For example, my card above has roughed up edges on the So Saffron layer, then embossing using the Bricks & Mortar 3D folder. There's also the 'holes' on the tag, ribbon, baker's twine & embellishments.  The balance I spoke of comes from the textures not being in competition - they work together.
