 Hello Friends!  It's the 15th of the month and time once again for our team blog hop!  Our theme is to use 2 Sale-A-Bration freebies in our projects and I can't wait to see what everyone has created!

New to Sale-A-Bration? 

Here's my card....

I fell head over heels in l-o-v-e-with the depth of colours in the Sale-A-Bration Favored Flowers paper from Stampin' Up!  The flowers are stunning!

I'm not the best fussy cutter in town, but this paper made it so easy!  I cut out each of these flowers from the edge of the paper.  Watch my YouTube video below for full details and measurements.

Do you decorate the inside of your cards?  I do!  And I went a little bold, but can you blame me? 😊

Adorable Owls | Sneak Peek | Sale-a-bration | Blog Hop

 Happy New Year crafty friends! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. This is another exciting day as it's our Positive Inkers Design Team Blog Hop and you're getting another Sneak Peek! Our theme this month is Sale-a-bration and I've used the uber cute Adorable Owls from Stampin' Up! It's one of the FREE choices with your $60 order!

Here's my card!  And guess what!!  You're getting 3 Sneak Peeks - woohoo!  See the full stamp set, patterned paper & dies in my video further below in this post -  will be posted after 9pm EST on Jan 2.

First - how cute is this owl!  There are 3 cutie-pie owls & 3 greetings in the set that are perfect for many occasions.  My grandson's 3rd birthday is coming up and he loves all types of critters so I'm certain he'll love an owl card!

Those eyes had me at first glance!  I coloured them using my light Soft Succulent blend.  For the rest of the colouring I went with 'less is more' and left lots of white on the owl.  I used Crumb Cake & Smoky Slate blends and kind of mixed them for a unique colour.

Sneak Peek #2 is one of the dies from Conversation Bubbles - be sure to watch my video (below) for a good look at that bundle!  I was super delighted to see the greeting from Adorable Owls fit into one of the dies! 

Sneak Peek #3 - the cool patterned paper is from Ready to Ride.  When you see this paper in the new Mini you might think it's for masculine card, but I beg to differ. 😊 It has an awesome shine to it, that gives the card a soft look.  However, to give the card a bit of an edge, I cut the paper using one of the Basic Border dies. And again, to soften the card, I used Pool Party Sheer Ribbon - my fave ribbon from the Annual Catalogue!

Hello | Heavenly Hollyhocks | Silver Sale-a-bration DSP

Hello my crafty friends!  Thank you for stopping by to check out my blog!  I've been super busy with my craft room reno, and if you've ever done the same, wow - it's a lot more work than expected, thus this week I don't have a video for you, but I have written a 'card recipe' further down in this post.

Today I'm sharing an elegant card that you'll be able to easily duplicate! 

I just received my Stampin' Up! order, and had a fun play with the Heavenly Hollyhocks bundle!  Oooh...and in the box was my FREE Silver & Gold Sale-a-bration paper.  Sale-a-bration ends August 31, 2022, but with items being available 'while supplies last', order soon! HEAVENLY HOLLYHOCKS BUNDLE #158880

This is such a beautiful stamp set and the dies are intricate and gorgeous!  This is definitely bundle worthy of your craft stash!

This view of my card gives you a close-up look of the two layers of these floral dies. Wondering what pink paper I used?  It's from the Awash in Beauty patterned paper.  The mottled look has the appearance of texture - love it!

I'm truly amazed how quickly this card came together.  Below are the details of how I made my card.  Enjoy!

Card Recipe

Card Base - Basic Gray - 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2

Layer - Silver & Gold DSP (I used silver) - 3/4 x 5 1/2 - adhere to left side of card front

Pink Floral layer - Awash in Beauty DSP

Top Floral layer - Basic White - adhere Adhesive Sheet then die cut.  Next, remove the backing from the adhesive sheet, and starting at the stem, adhere the white layer to the pink layer.  Tip: take your time matching up the layers.

Sentiment - stamp in Basic Gray onto Awash in Beauty DSP scrap, then die cut using Stylish Shapes circle die

Ribbon - cut approximately 3" of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon. Fold in half and adhere to the card.  Next, add Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment layer and place this layer centered on top of the ribbon

Embellishments - place 5 white Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins on the card

Love it?  This, and all Sale-a-bration products are available while supplies last.

It's so easy to create interest with layers & texture!  I've used the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and Lovely Layers Vellum, then Basic Black cardstock & paper from the Wonderful World DSP.  I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then die cut it with one of my Tailor Made Tags and popped it up on Dimensionals.

My greeting, from Ringed with Nature, was heat embossed in silver.  It actually says 'love & warmth' - I fussy cut it to show 'love' 

I love the inside of my card!  What a lovely surprise for the recipient of the card!
