Love of Leaves Positive Inkers Global Blog Hop Sneak Peek

Welcome to our first Positive Inkers blog hop!  We are Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, United States, and UK.

I'm so excited to be part of this global event and excited for you to see our Mini Catalogue Sneak Peek creative designs!

As I flipped through the pages of the Mini catalogue, I stopped when I saw the Love of Leaves Bundle.  I could picture the leaves in a variety of colours and groupings, a big plus when choosing stamp sets, and the sentiment fonts looked unique.  But wait....there's more

The dies - they are aaaaah-mazing!  No surprise, they cut out the leaves, but they also imprint the veining on the leaves!  Absolutely gorgeous and brilliant!

Colour Combo

I started with a base of Whisper White, then added a layer of paper from the Plaid Tidings DSP.  I know you're going to love all the pretty patterns and colours in this DSP - something for every season!  My next layer is Whisper White embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D folder.  You'll find all the measurements on my video (below).

For the leaves, I used Pretty Peacock, Mango Melody and Crumb Cake inks.  I wanted a soft look so for each leaf I stamped off.  Next, I heat embossed the sentiment in White Stampin' Emboss Powder onto Pretty Peacock cardstock.

Last step was to tie a double bow using the Gold Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and adhere it using a rolled up Glue Dot.

A Timeless Tidings card with Stamparatus - Stampin' Up!

It's a rainy day in paradise, and I couldn't be happier!  Do you ever find that regardless of rain, snow, heat, or whatever Mother Nature throws at us, we can choose to be happy?  I choose happy!

Let's get to the card I made this morning!

My feature product this week is the Stamparatus, which is the best stamp positioning tool on the market!
Yay, Stampin' Up!

Cut all the required piecing, starting with the base of the card. Mossy Meadow cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 & scored at 4 1/4 (all in inches).  Next the Mossy Meadow layer - 3 1/2 x 5 1/2, Merry Merlot strip - 1 1/2 x 5 1/2, and the Whisper White inside layer - 4 x 5 1/4.

Place the Mossy Meadow layer into the Climbing Vine embossing folder, and run it through the Big Shot, then adhere it to the card base.   Next, emboss the Merry Merlot strip using the Corrugated embossing folder.  Use ample Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere this layer.

Please follow my instructions on the video on how to place the two stamps from Timeless Tidings in the Stamparatus. I went with the same colour combo for the inks as the base & layer, and Whisper White for the sentiment layer.  Can you see the 'stitching' on the Whisper White layer? That's from one of the Stitched apes Framelit Circle die!  A lovely addition!  Take a Layering Circle Die & run it through the Big Shot with a Champagne foil piece.  Adhere the sentiment layer to the die cut foil circle, and pop it up with Dimensionals.  Add 3 pearls to the layer.

I wanted a rustic look, thus the colour combo, and a little help from Wink of Stella.  I meant to use clear, but I used white, so it has a paint-splatter look, which I don't mind.

From Timeless Tidings, I stamped the trees & sentiment in Mossy Meadow, leaving lots of room for a personalized note.

And, the finished card.  Sweet & simple!
Let me know if you like my card!

Wishing You Well - Stampin' Up!

What a week! It's getting better, though.  My daughter fell down the stairs at work and long story-short, broke her tibia & fibula and required surgery.  Twelve screws & a metal plate later, thankfully she's on the mend.  I hope your week went well.

Let's get to the card! There are times when I simply can't decide on a design, and other times where a card comes together in a matter of minutes, which was the case with this card.
What a delight using the Wishing You Well stamp set! This is a 'Distinktive' set, meaning the stamps create different opacities in a single stamped image for realistic depth and intensity, that you will love!

To make this card, start with Grey Granite base, cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 & scored at 4 1/4 (all in inches)
Next, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock for the layer - 3 1/2 x 5 1/2, and run it through your Big Shot in the Corrugated embossing folder. Then cut a Grey Granite layer - 2 5/8 x 4 3/8, and a
Whisper White layer -2 1/2 x 4 1/4.  Stamp the floral image from the Wishing You Well stamp set in Grey Granite, then the bow, mini flowers & sentiment, all in Merry Merlot.  Adhere the layers - I used Snail.

One might think of the corrugated look as being harsh for a delicate card, however, in Whisper White, it's perfect!

Notice how the bow looks to have depth - that's the Distinktive look!  I'm so pleased with the gorgeous font of this sentiment! Do you love it?!!

Soft, pretty and a simple card to make!

All Is Bright Suite (Merry Christmas to All) - Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome!
I'm absolutely delighted to announce I've promoted for the second time this year and am now Silver Elite. To my friends & family, stamping community - I am so grateful and appreciative for all your support!
I'm not only attending the Stampin' Up! OnStage conference....I now get to go to Centre Stage & Epcot!
Thank you all so much!

Today I'm making a Holiday Card with my product of the week - All Is Bright Suite (Merry Christmas to All) from the Holiday Catalogue!  Check out my video above & please share. 😊

Here's the card I made in the video!  Lots of little details, but quick & easy to make!

I started with the base of the card in Real Red cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 & scored at 4 1/4 (all in inches), then added an Old Olive layer cut at 5 1/4 x 4 1/8.  Isn't the printed paper pretty!! It's the Under the Mistletoe DSP  & is cut at 5 x 4.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the layer.
Next, using Real Red ink, I stamped 'Holiday' from Merry Christmas to All, onto Whisper White, then punched the one end with my Triple Banner Punch - one of my absolute-must-have punches!

I cut a piece of the Chicken Wire Elements in half to use get extra texture onto the card.  It's silver on the reverse side.  What's really awesome with the new product, is that you can use your inks to colour the white side to suit your cards & projects!

Using one of my Layering Ovals Dies I cut Old Olive cardstock, then ran it through the Big Shot in the Curls & Swirls embossing folder.
If you haven't used Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets - you need them!  As you saw in my video, it's super easy to use, and makes adhering, for example, words a snap!  I used Real Red for 'Happy', and die cut it with the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies, which I bought as a bundle with the Merry Christmas to All stamp set to save 10%.

Naturally you'll want to add some additional features to your card!  I used a variety of dies and papers.  I may or may not be addicted to vellum!! 😏
The sweet little tree on the sentiment layer is from the Festive Farmhouse Elements in the Holiday catalogue.  I pressed the little tree into my Old Olive ink pad, and once dry, attached it using a glue dot.

I went with a simple inside for the card, leaving lots of room for to write a personal message.
The sentiment & greenery are just 2 of the 28 stamps from Merry Christmas to All.
