Sending Love and Hugs to You

I love days like today.  I'm feeling productive!  Earlier today I made this card, folded and hung up all the wash, made a delicious lunch, dusted, swept the floors and took Pippin for a long walk.

Do you ever feel like not making a card because you feel you don't have time? Well, if you have ten minutes, I have a card you can make that is quick and easy!  For this card I used two colours of paper - Island Indigo and Whisper White.  Inks used are Island Indigo and Calypso Coral. The floral image is from Oh So Eclectic and the sentiment is from Ribbon of Courage.

Simple steps - cut, score the fold the base of the card. Then cut a 2" strip of Whisper White and a 1" strip of Island Indigo and run them through the Big Shot in the Petal Burst TIEF.  Adhere to card.  Next I stamped the floral image in Calypso Coral and the sentiment in Island Indigo, and die cut them using two sizes of  Stitched Shapes Framelits. Use dimensionals to pop up both die cut circles, then add a few Glitter Enamel Dots.  Not pictured is the inside of the card.  Simply stamp the floral image three times across the bottom of the inside layer.
How easy was that!!

A close up of the images.  Are you loving the Stitched Shapes Framelits as much as me??!!

Tip

If you want your embossed layer patterns to line up, place glue your layers together, run them through the Big Shot.

My upline held a virtual meeting last night.  I always feel inspired from our meetings.  Not only do we have lots of fun, a game (or two) and watch an awesome card demo, it feels like family.  We share ideas, good news and what's been going on the past month.  Sharing and listening, responding - sure sounds like family to me!  That makes me happy 😊  Happy to be a part of a great team.

Oh So Eclectic Beautiful Bouquet Thank You Card

Wow....long title for a post!  I had planned to use only the Oh So Eclectic Bundle for this card, but, I changed my mind.  It happens. LOL

I hope you're enjoying the long weekend.  Odd temperatures, rain and high winds, but still a nice, long weekend!  Unfortunately, we've been sidelined a bit with the flu for the last couple of days.  Thank you ginger, gingerale and everything ginger - we're on the mend!

When I finished this card, I thought it looked 'naked', like I hadn't finished it.  But, I told myself it's okay to leave open spaces.  I'd love to know your thoughts on this card.

The main colours I used for this card are Fresh Fig, Pacific Point and Lemon Lime Twist.  I cut a Whisper White layer with one of the dies from the Oh So Eclectic Bundle, then adhered the layer to the base.  The leaves were stamped then die cut using images and dies from that same bundle again.  For the flowers I used a stamp and die from Beautiful Bouquet Bundle. The sentiment is from Daisy Delight.  I chose it because the size of the image works to balance the card.  Once stamped, I used my Triple Banner Punch on one end of the sentiment layer.

I popped up the flowers and sentiment with dimensionals and used Liquid Multi Purpose Glue for the leaves  This card has a different style than my usual, and I really like it. 😊

In Gratitude

I'm very thankful for the words of encouragement from my team leader.  This week has been a bit of a struggle for me.  In addition to being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'm also a consultant with Pampered Chef.  My struggle has been achieving a balance between SU and PC.  Do I drop one? Nope.  I'm working toward a solution and adapting.
