Beautiful Bouquet - Spring Blog Hop - Stampin' Up!

Welcome friends, to our monthly Blog Hop!  Fittingly, this month, our theme is 'Spring' for our paper projects!

Soon our gardens will be blooming with flowers, which is why I chose to use the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and coordinating Bouquet Bunch Dies.  Flowers & prettiness!
Would you agree the Basket Weave folder looks so fresh on Whisper White layer?

I don't think the photo does justice to our oh so pretty Shimmery White cardstock!
Once I stamped the sentiment, I used our 2 of our Rectangle Stitched Dies to create the frame & sentiment layer.

Our 2017-2019 In Colours will be retiring in a few short months, and I wanted to get the most out of them now.  If you love the colours, and I'm guessing you do, grab them now as the retirement list is out as of today, and all 2017-2019 In Colour products are sure to go quickly!

Speaking of retiring In Colours; I used our Ink Refills - Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst, and Blueberry Bushel (not retiring) , for the leaves & flowers.  I spritzed water on watercolour paper, then a drop or two of ink, and used our Aqua Painter to spread the ink around.  The watered inks overlapped a bit, giving pretty colour variations - love!!  Once dry, I die cut the pieces using the Bouquet Bunch Dies.

A simple Congratulations & one of the die cut flower bunch for the inside, and this pretty card is complete!  What do you think?

Stampin' Blends & a Major Pop of Colour!

What do I love about Stampin' Blends?
Everything!
They're so easy to use, and blending is a breeze!  Plus the colours are fabulous!

For both cards I used Whisper White Notecards (& Envelopes), Petal Passion DSP, from the new Occasions catalogue for the layer and a stamp from Beautiful Bouquet for the sentiment.  On the above card, I used Old Olive and Daffodil Delight for the leaves, and Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral and Pumpkin Pie for the flowers.

After stamping the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, I used one of the circles from Stitched Shapes to die cut.  Cute 'stitching'!  Next, using Layering Circles Dies, I cut Silver Foil paper, and layered it with the sentiment, then added dimensionals.

I used 3 Stampin' Blends for this card - Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.  It wasn't , and until I finished these card that I went WOW!  Bold and bright colours - not my 'norm', but I'm really liking them!  But, enough of what I think - I'd love to hear what you think!

Oh So Eclectic Beautiful Bouquet Thank You Card

Wow....long title for a post!  I had planned to use only the Oh So Eclectic Bundle for this card, but, I changed my mind.  It happens. LOL

I hope you're enjoying the long weekend.  Odd temperatures, rain and high winds, but still a nice, long weekend!  Unfortunately, we've been sidelined a bit with the flu for the last couple of days.  Thank you ginger, gingerale and everything ginger - we're on the mend!

When I finished this card, I thought it looked 'naked', like I hadn't finished it.  But, I told myself it's okay to leave open spaces.  I'd love to know your thoughts on this card.

The main colours I used for this card are Fresh Fig, Pacific Point and Lemon Lime Twist.  I cut a Whisper White layer with one of the dies from the Oh So Eclectic Bundle, then adhered the layer to the base.  The leaves were stamped then die cut using images and dies from that same bundle again.  For the flowers I used a stamp and die from Beautiful Bouquet Bundle. The sentiment is from Daisy Delight.  I chose it because the size of the image works to balance the card.  Once stamped, I used my Triple Banner Punch on one end of the sentiment layer.

I popped up the flowers and sentiment with dimensionals and used Liquid Multi Purpose Glue for the leaves  This card has a different style than my usual, and I really like it. 😊

Tips

Place the various pieces on your card, then take a picture.  Repeat as many times as you need, then review the photos and choose your fave layout.

In Gratitude

I'm very thankful for the words of encouragement from my team leader.  This week has been a bit of a struggle for me.  In addition to being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'm also a consultant with Pampered Chef.  My struggle has been achieving a balance between SU and PC.  Do I drop one? Nope.  I'm working toward a solution and adapting.

Tri-City Stampers Blog Hop - Beautiful Bouquet

Hi and welcome to our June Tri-City Stampers Blog Hop.  This month we're featuring projects using stamps, dies and other amazing goodies from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.

I couldn't wait to get 'inky' with this stamp set!  What  do I love about this set?  Well, that it's available as a bundle so I saved 10%, there are 37 stamps and 21 dies.  That's terrific value!  When I look at this bundle I see countless bouquet possibilities and many occasions to use this set. Versatility - yes, yes and yes!

Here's my card for today.  I love the fresh, clean look!  Crumb Cake cardstock for the base and Whisper White for the layer. For the flowers and sentiment I used Pacific Point ink,, Daffodil Delight for the background, stamped off for a lighter tone, Old Olive for the greenery and Crumb Cake for the 'paper wrap'.

I used only stamps from Beautiful Bouquet

After I had finished stamping all the flowers I wanted, I then die cut a few more flowers and raised them up and the 'paper wrap' using dimensionals.

It's fun to jazz up the inside of the card!

Here's this beautiful bundle!
