Gorgeous Grape Rooted in Nature

I used the Stampin' Up! Rooted in Nature stamp set & Nature's Roots Dies to create quick & easy cards today!

For this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White placed in my Stamparatus, then inked the leaf stamp with Gorgeous Grape ink. Watch the video (below in this post) to see how to use the Stamparatus.   Icut the piece using a Stitched Rectangle die, and the  Whisper White layer was embossed using the Pinewood Planks 3D folder.

A simple strip of Purple Posy Scalloped Linen Ribbon is a nice touch!  I heat embossed the sentiment, also from Rooted in Nature stamp set, using Black Stampin' Emboss Powder.  In the video you'll see how I die cut the sentiment twice to achieve the size I wanted.  Base of the card is Crumb Cake cardstock.

To Thank You For All You Do & a Blog Hop

Welcome and thank you for stopping by today!  It's time once again for our monthly Stamping Symphony blog hop, which is held on the 15th of every month!  Our theme this month is fall, and fall colours, and yes, it's mid-August, and we aren't through with summer yet, but I think you'll like our creations!

I decided to ink up Rooted in Nature for this card and really like the finished card.
To make it (all in inches):
Cut the base in Very Vanilla - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
Cut layer in Very Vanilla 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, then emboss using the Subtle folder
Magnolia Lane ribbon - 5 3/4
Adhere glue dots to the back of the layer, just below the centre line of the layer, and attach the ribbon
Next, using Tombo, adhere the layer to the card base

Stamp:
The 'wood' trunk on Crumb Cake cardstock, using Crumb Cake ink & fussy cut
Leaves - Merry Merlot, using same colour ink
Additional leaves - die cut Perennial Essence Old Olive Vellum
Heat emboss in white onto Perennial Essence So Saffron Vellum
Die cut all leaves using Nature's Roots Dies
Heat emboss the sentiment in copper onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then die cut using Stitched Rectangles.  After die cutting, I moved the die over a bit & die cut again to make a smaller sentiment layer.  Lastly, I die cut Copper Foil paper using the same die.

All the pieces were adhered using glue dots, dimensionals & Tombo.
The final touch was to add a pretty copper Designer Element.

I hope you're inspired my card!

More Love for Rooted in Nature!

Sometimes I refer to myself at Little Miss Procrastinator.  True.   ðŸ˜Š  My workshop last Thursday was at 6:30 pm, and I finished prepping the last 2 of 4 cards at 3 pm.  Call me crazy! Thankfully, I had everything packed up and ready to go in loads of time, and the workshop went very well.

Today, I have 2 of the cards we made at the workshop to share with you!  The Rooted in Nature bundle, may I say, is so versatile, and that's what we all want from our stamps & supplies, right?!

We started with a Petal Pink base, then a Whisper White layer was added.  The tree was stamped in Gray Granite then die cut using the Nature's Root Framelits.  Next we stamped the sentiment, from Detailed with Love, in Calypso Coral, and die cut it using one of the dies from Stitched Labels Framelits.  Before adhering the sentiment layer to the card, we added Nature's Twine in Grapefuit Grove, and then added mini dimensionals, and a bow.
The patterned papers are both from Nature's Poem DSP.  There are so many gorgeous patterns in that pack of paper!

For the inside of the card, we stamped the large leaf stamp from Rooted in Nature into Gray Granite, and stamped off once onto our grid paper, then onto the Whisper White layer.  Our 'Best Wishes' sentiment is from Stitched all Around.  We stamped it in Calypso Coral.
I think this was my favourite card of the workshop!

But wait!  I promised 2 cards, so here's the next....

I cased this card from Leena Girsa, my upline, and just changed up the colours a bit.
The base & layer are Blackberry Bliss and may I say a huge 'Thank You' to Stampin' Up! for bringing this colour back - it's so rich and lucious!  Before adhering the layer, we ran it through the Big Shot, in the Woodland embossing folder.
The Nature's Poem DSP was cut at 3 1/2 x 4".   Next, we adhered a 5 1/2" piece of Blackberry Bliss Nature's Twin, using glue dots placed on the back of the DSP,
It's a little hard to see, but there is a piece of Wood Textures DSP die cut by one of the of Layering Circles Dies. That piece was adhered to the card under the Nature's Twine.
The leaves are in Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove and Copper Foil, and all were embossed then die cut with the Nature's Roots Framelits, then adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
We stamped a couple of leaves onto Whisper White cardstock, stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss, then cut with the Everyday Label punch.  The finishing touches are a bow made with Linen Thread and a Copper Leaves Trinket, both adhered using glue dots.

I'm certain I had the ladies stamp a leaf image, however I changed it up a bit and used the tree rings image from Rooted in Nature & Grapefruit Grove ink, stamped off once.  Last step before adhering the layer was to stamp the sentiment from Rooted in Nature, in Blackberry Bliss.

Wow...when I read what I wrote, it sounds like a lot, however this was a quick and easy card to make!
