A Beary Cute Bundle | New Mini Catalogue | Positive Inkers Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!  It's a new month and that means our Positive Inkers Design Team have a new blog & Instagram hop for you!  We're featuring the brand new Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue - super exciting!

I fell head over heels for the Beary Cute bundle!  I mean seriously...how cute are those polar bears!!

A B

I stamped the bears using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and for the scarf, Real Red.  , fussy cut two of them and used the punch to cut out the third.

Lately I've been obsessed with Blending Brushes, and I used them, along with Balmy Blue ink on the same colour cardstock to create a cool background for the bears.

How cute is this little family and their snowy background - which is DSP from the Beary Christmas paper!  I cut it using one of the Nested Essentials dies!

For even more snow, I heat embossed the snowflakes from the Beary Cute stamp set.  It's still summer here in Canada so now snow yet LOL....at least not in Southern Ontario! 😊

Last, but not least, I heat embossed the sentitment in white onto Balmy Blue cardstock.  I love how this simple card turned out!  This would be a great card to make multiples!  What do you think?

In Colour Challenge | Positive Inkers Design Team | Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends! You are in for a colour treat today because our Positive Inkers Design Team have been busy creating cards based on our August Challenge - use 2023-2025 In Colours from Stampin' Up!

I'll post my Tues@7pm ET video once it's complete and downloaded.  Catch the actual live on my Facebook page HERE

For my card, I chose the gorgeous combination of Moody Mauve & Pebbled Path!

I started my card layer by using a Blending Brush, one of the Foursquare Decorative Masks and Moody Mauve ink to create a subtle background. I love the creative possibilities with the masks - I feel artsy!

I'll post my Tues@7pm ET video once it's complete and downloaded.  Catch the actual live on my Facebook page HERE

Cheerful Daisies Bundle | Positive Inkers Design Team | Blog Hop

Happy May everyone!

Our Positive Inkers Design Team have been busy creating beautiful cards for this blog hop!  We're using products from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue that's going live on May 2, 2023!

My card features 3 new products!  Please read on....

How about some Pecan Pie!  This new cardstock colour is a welcome new addition to the Neutrals Collection!  It's warm, inviting, and calorie free!

I cut the card base at 4 1/4 x 11, and scored it at 5 1/2.  (all inches)
That's the only measurement for this card - I know eh, wow!

My layer, also Pecan Pie, was cut using the largest off the Radiating Stitches dies.  What wonderful texture - simple and elegant!

The sentiment is from the Cheerful Daisies set, which I was going to stamp in Pecan Pie, but then spotted my Copper Embossing Powder - and it adds a wee shine that is lovely!

I do the majority of my posts on Instagram - and several using the new Fresh as a Daisy Suite of products.  You can check them out HERE, and be sure to follow me there for lots of cardmaking inspiration!

I used the Cheerful Daisy dies to first cut in Basic White, and then in the NEW Countryside Inn DSP (Designer Series Paper).  The splash of colour brings life to the card!

I had to show you the inside of my card!  Once again I used the largest of the Radiating Stitches dies to cut Basic White paper.  And as a pretty little touch, I also cut another daisy using the dies (which layer by the way)!

Tropical Leaf Bundle | Online Exclusives | Positive Inkers Design Team | Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!  It's the 1st of April, and no fooling, our Positive Inkers Design Team are hopping again and we're super excited for you to see what we've created using Online Exclusive products from Stampin' Up!

Here's my card!

I've used 2 Online Exclusive products for my card - the Tropical Leaf Bundle & one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders.  I'll be doing a Facebook Live on April 4 to show you how I made this card!  Watch live at 7pm EST HERE

TROPICAL LEAF BUNDLE - ITEM #161249

I l-o-v-e everything about the Tropical Leaf Bundle!
Check out the awesome sentiments, and the font - oh my!
Love the leaf images and the coordinating punch!

It's no secret that my fave background die is Stitched Greenery - it's subtle and light thus doesn't overpower the main images!  Same with the vellum layer!  I used the ink/alcohol technique to create a one-of-a-kind airy look!

As you can see, I embossed the leaves rather than stamping them.  I heat embossed the 'love you lots' greeting then did an easy fussy cut, leaving off 'lots'.  I'm so pleased with how this card came together!

Be sure to follow me on Instagram for lots of inspiration, including several more cards using the Tropical Leaf Bundle!  They'll post later next week.

Simple Blending | Simple Heat Embossing | Hand-Penned Petals | Heartfelt Thank You Card

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I'm so happy to be sharing a project with you that's crisp & clean with a burst of colour!  Every once in a while I can't figure out what to make and I end up with lots of pieces and no plan.  Does that happen to you as well?  I walk away for a bit, and when I come back refreshed, the card comes together!

Here's my card.

I love how simple layers add texture and depth to cards!  For my card I chose the Timeworn Type folder from Stampin' Up! as my first layer - it's subtle - subtlety that is needed to avoid overtaking the focal point of the card.

Love these colours together?
Wait 'til you view my Video Tutorial further down in this post!
I changed up one of the colours!

Now for the burst of colour!  Do you use Blending Brushes?  I do - they help add colour quickly and they're sooooo easy to use!  Once the ink dried, I heat embossed the floral image in black, then cut it using a die from Penned Flowers. Super pretty!

Have you seen the beautiful images & lovely greetings in the Nature's Prints stamp set?  A must-have set for sure!  I heat embossed the greeting in black on our Kraft paper, then cut using Tailor Made Tags.
