I love this technique - it's fun and it's easy! Cut strips on a bit of an angle and arrange them on a backing piece. If you haven't decided on the size of this layer, you can always cut it down once all the strips are dry.
This card was screaming for heat embossing, so I took the Thank You and I'll be right by your side from Loyal Leaves and Queen Anne's Lace respectively. The banner ends on the Thank You were cut using the Banner Triple punch. For the second sentiment I used one of the Tasteful Labels dies.
I don't have the coordinating dies as of yet, so I fussy cut this cutie pie! He's layered on Playful Pets DSP, which I cut using one of my Stitched Shapes dies. The Real Red scallopped piece was cut using a Layering Circles die.
This is a pretty 'busy' card, so to give a bit of separation, I added a strip of Real Red cardstock that I had embossed using the Dainty Diamonds 3D folder. What a great texture & pattern!
Let's not forget about the cats in the Playful Pets DSP! The 'cat' card is featured in my video! Be sure to check it out!
