Stampin' Up! Queen Anne's Lace

Hi friends!  Thank you for checking out my blog today!  I'm featuring the oh-so-pretty Queen Anne's Lace stamp set, and I think you'll like the result!

I know you can't see it....but it's there - the Sahara Sand cardbase isn't visible as I cut the Neutrals 6 x 6 DSP the size of the card front.  I don't do this often, but love the look so much!

Fancy Phrases Cling Stamp Set - Item #152530

This stamp set & the supplies I used can all be purchased through my online store.

The Night of Navy cardstock is cut using one of the Stitched Rectangle dies. For the flowers, I stamped the tops first, using Whisper White Stampin' Craft Pad, then stamped the stems in Night of Navy.

I debated over which colour of cardstock to use for the sentiment, and after testing out 3, I came to the conclusion that Sahara Sand was the winner!  The 'bling' on this card comes from embossing 'Best Wishes' in Silver - it looks so pretty!  I used the Banner Triple Punch on the one end of the sentiment.

The ribbon I used is from the Flowers for Every Season combo pack. I adhered the ribbon to the using our new Stampin' Seal, and a Glue Dot to keep it folded.  Both the floral piece & sentiment are popped up with Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Basket of Blooms

Hello friends and welcome to my blog!  Today, I set out to create with colour and texture - what do you think of my card?

Basket of Blooms is a stamp set asking to be coloured...so I started with Whisper White paper, and using Sponge Daubers and a circular motion, I added Real Red and Mango Melody to the paper, overlapping the colours.  Next, I stamped the floral images using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut them with the Small Bloom Punch.

I stamped the flower pot and greenery in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and using my Stampin' Blends proceeded to colour.  Have you used our Blends?  They are amazing!  Colours I used are Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green.  I cut the paper using one of the Stitched Shapes dies, and for the Granny Apple Green frame I used Layering Circles dies.

To add texture to both the frame and In Good Taste DSP layer, I embossed them using the Tasteful Textile 3D folder.  I love changing the appearance of paper by embossing!!

The pretty 'Hello friend' sentiment is from Queen Anne's Lace, and to have it stand out on the card, I heat embossed Stampin' White powder onto Basic Black cardstock, then fussy cut it.

Finishing touches are like sprinkles on ice cream and the Gold Metallic Trim from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo Pack is ideal!  I unravelled the end of the trim for a whispy look.

Playful Pets Scrappy Strip Technique & Blog Hop!

Isn't this the cutest paper ever!!  My first thought when I saw it in the catalogue - I NEED this paper! And, when I heard about Kylie & Bruno Bertucci's #scrappystriptechnique Challenge I knew Playful Pets DSP would be perfect!

I love this technique - it's fun and it's easy!  Cut strips on a bit of an angle and arrange them on a backing piece.  If you haven't decided on the size of this layer, you can always cut it down once all the strips are dry.

This card was screaming for heat embossing, so I took the Thank You and I'll be right by your side from Loyal Leaves and Queen Anne's Lace respectively.  The banner ends on the Thank You were cut using the Banner Triple punch.  For the second sentiment I used one of the Tasteful Labels dies.

I don't have the coordinating dies as of yet, so I fussy cut this cutie pie!  He's layered on Playful Pets DSP, which I cut using one of my Stitched Shapes dies.  The Real Red scallopped piece was cut using a Layering Circles die.

This is a pretty 'busy' card, so to give a bit of separation, I added a strip of Real Red cardstock that I had embossed using the Dainty Diamonds 3D folder.   What a great texture & pattern!

Let's not forget about the cats in the Playful Pets DSP!  The 'cat' card is featured in my video!  Be sure to check it out!
