Christmas Joy and a Blog Hop!

Hello again my crafty friends!  Today is the 15th of the month and that means it's time for another blog hop with Stamping Symphony!  Our theme this month is Christmas in September.  Be sure to come back for my 15 days of Christmas that begin today!

Wrapping my head around Christmas cards was a tad challenging at first, but playing with new products from the Mini Catalogue made me so happy!

My first step in making this card was the sentiment, which isn't my 'normal', but I really really wanted to try out the Red Velvet Paper with my Playful Alphabet Dies.  I cut a small piece of the Red Velvet paper & the same size from a Foam Adhesive Sheet, the die cut the letters J, O and Y.  I adhered the letters to Whisper White Cardstock that had been embossed using one of the Wrapped in Texture Folders, and die cut using the smallest circle in the Stitched Shapes dies.

All measurements are given during the video (below).

If you don't have the Playful Alphabet dies, you may want to add them to your shopping list!  There are 58 dies and loads of possibilities!

This gorgeous paper makes my heart sing!  It's the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.  The piece I cut is layered with Crumb Cake cardstock.  The Whisper White layer was embossed using the Dainty Diamonds 3D folder.

I love love love the finishing touches on this card!  The ribbon is from All The Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack.  I used the Forever Flourishing dies to cut Vellum, In Good Taste DSP and Gold from the Brushed Metallic Cardstock.
