Hello Crafty Friends! Thank you for popping by my blog today! It's a super hot & humid day, but I'm staying cool in my craft room designing cards!
Have you noticed the Wild Roses background stamp in the Annual Catalogue? It is simply gorgeous - a real beauty, and the featured stamp in this post and my Video Tutorial further down in the post. I let my viewers decide on the colours for the card in my video so be sure to watch!
Here's the card I made...
I find for large stamps like Wild Roses, the Stamparatus is a must-have because you can view what you've stamped, and if you missed a spot, stamp again. The strong magnets keep your paper in place.
After stamping in Versamark, I heat embossed the entire image in black. Next, I coloured using my Blending Brushes with 3 of my fave happy colours - Real Red, Flirty Flamingo and Mango Melody and cut a section of the paper with one of my Ornate Layers dies.
I didn't want to cover up the lovely colours, so I heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto vellum, and cut with one of my Tasteful Labels dies. I love the detail left by the die - so pretty!
With such a lovely bold area of colour, I wanted to keep the balance of the card simple so I chose the Ornate Floral embossing folder, and a die from Forever Flourishing for the leaves.My final touch was to use Pearl Basic Jewels.
