Brusho meets Petal Burst

There are so many great things going on right now, I could burst!  First up - I've been invited to be a vendor at a fundraising event this weekend for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.

The most exciting time for Stampin' Up! is Sale-A-Bration (SAB), and that's for the following reasons:
  • This is the very best time to join the fun! During SAB. not only do you get to choose $165 in products for just $135 (no tax or shipping costs), you also get to choose TWO free stamp sets of any value from either the Annual or Occasions catalogues.  That's a fabulous deal you shouldn't miss!
  • In addition, by joining now, you'll get to see the next annual catalogue & get your hands on some of the products a month before it goes live!  Woot!
  • During SAB for every $60 you spend, you get to choose an amazing SAB item....AND, new items have been added!!  Click here to see the SAB goodies!
Don`t miss out - Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31.  Join the fun, save big time and let`s get creative!!

I'm also becoming more and more confident doing my weekly Tuesdays at Two Facebook Live Video and demonstrating stamping techniques!  Here's a couple of cards from my most recent video.

Recently I saw video from a UK demo named Linda Dalke and thought, oh boy I have give this a try!  Brusho Crystal Colour from Stampin' Up! comes in 5 colours, and for this project, I chose Yellow and Prussian Blue.  I opened my Petal Burst embossing folder, and sprinkled the Yellow Brusho from the top of the folder to mid-way, and then did the same with the Prussian Blue Brusho, but from the bottom of the folder, to mid-way.  Next, I spritzed water onto the folder, activating the Brusho crystals, then I place a piece of watercolour paper onto the wet side of the folder.  I closed the folder, used a bit of pressure to ensure the paper was saturated, then removed the paper.  There was lots of colour and water in the folder, so I did the same steps with a second piece of watercolour paper.  It`s amazing to see the colours mix and know that every piece will be unique!
Tip:  you can also use Stampin`Up! Shimmery White cardstock

This card in the pic above and below is the second print from a Brusho & embossing folder technique.

As this is the 2nd print, it didn't have as much colour as the 1st print, so I was thinking hmmm...I wonder what would happen if I used a baby wipe to swirl the wet Brusho around the paper.  Well, it`s pretty darn cool, if I do say so myself. *smiles*

This is the 1st print from the Brusho and embossing folder.  I am in L-O-V-E!  Does the picture do justice to this card...noooooo, but I hope you think it`s cool and want to give this technique a try!

Last but not least, I want to tell you about another great promo!

Amazing You Home Decor

What a glorious weekend!  The weather (yes, we're talking about weather...again), although windy, was spectacular!! I hope you had time to get outside and enjoy a walk or other activity!

I participated in a community event/craft sale on the weekend and had the home decor piece below on display.  I'm guessing by now you know that paper crafting with Stampin' Up! can be more than cards & gift tags!  On a thrifting day, I found this unique frame and instantly fell in love - especially with the galvanized steel!

I had been playing with my Brushos on a full sheet of watercolour paper and achieved a variety of super cool backgrounds.  Once the paper dried, I die cut the watercolour paper & black fun foam using letters from the Large Letters Framelits,

Next I die cut the butterflies using my Butterflies Thinlit Dies, also from the same Brusho-coloured watercolour paper.

Here's how I put this together.
The base is Pool Party, and I added a layer of Wood Textures DSP.  Next, I adhered Delicate White Doilies and the butterflies.  The word 'Love' is popped up with Dimensionals.
The last two die cuts are from the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies (free during Sale-A-Bration).  Lastly, I used Pool Party for 'amazing' and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for 'You'.
