Stampin' Up! New In Colours & Positive Inkers Global Design Team Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends and thank you for joining me today for another Positive Inkers blog hop! Our theme this month is the brand new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue!

Here's my card! Measurements are given in my video tutorial (below)

I die cut so many flowers and leaves using the new In Colours and it was a tough decision on which to use!

The 2021-2023 In Colours

These are so pretty!  Do you have a favourite?  I think they're all gorgeousI used 4 of the 5 new In Colours on my card and I'll be featuring Pale Papaya in a future post.

For the background, I did a watery wash of Soft Succulent ink onto Basic White paper with my Water Painter.  After the paper had completely dried, I embossed it using my Tasteful Textile 3D folder. Next, I used one of my Stitched Rectangle dies to cut this layer.

All the flowers & leaves were cut usng the Pierced Bloom Dies.  I love the whimsical detail of the stitching from the dies!

Decorate the inside and the people receiving your card will love it so much!

I love when Stampin' Up! uses two fonts for a stamp!  The greeting is from Best Year, and I've heat embossed using Stampin' White powder onto Basic Black cardstock.  A wee bit of fussy cutting followed - easy peasy!  The ribbons and jewels add the pretty finishing touches.

Stampin' Up! New In Colour Sneak Peek & a Retiring Favourite!

Happy Tuesday!  I'm back today with a treat for you!  A sneak peek of brand new In Colours, lots of pics of my pretty card using the retiring Loyal Leaves set, and colour comparisons which I found really helpful!  Let's dive in!

My quick & easy thank you card uses 2 new ink and cardstock colours from Stampin' Up! - Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.  They match beautifully and are soft and rich and gorgeous!

Be sure to watch my Video Tutorial (below) for more sneak peeks!

What do you think of these 2 new In Colours?  Let me know with a comment!
More colour comparisons are further down in this post.

I stamped my images, then for fun, I die cut on an angle using one of my Stitched Rectangles. When I use this technique, I always pop up the die cut bit with Dimensionals.

The simple 'Thank You' in this set is small, and doesn't interfere with the design.  Sometimes understated is the way to go!

I used another Stitched Rectangle to die cut the sentiment, then punched the banner end using my Tailored Tag punch.

Oooooh.....do you see another sneak peek on this card?!  I added a few of the brand new 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels!  Love love love them!!

A bit of simple stamping for the inside of the card.  The leaves in this set are so beautifully designed - not much more is required.

Do you use the stamping off technique?  It's a fantastic way to stretch your ink colours!

Stampin' Up! Lovely You

Have you noticed the lovely sample cards throughout the new Annual Catalogue?  Inspiration for my card today came from the catalogue, and yes, I added some of my own touches.

The Lovely You Bundle gets two thumbs up from me because of the variety of floral & greenery  images, great sentiments & fonts, plus the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch offers 6 options - 2 different designs with 3 width options - 1/2", 3/4" and 1".  How's that for incredible versatility!

Imagine my delight when my box of Stampin' Up! goodies was delivered the day of my live video! Sweet!  I wanted to see the In Colours in action, and I wasn't disappointed - they are gorgeous! The how-to video and unboxing is a bit further down in this post

I mention in my video that the stars of this card would be Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee, so when it came to stamping with Cinnamon Cider, I stamped off to get a lighter tone.  Isn't it pretty!  I did sneak in a couple of other inks: Daffodil Delight,  Blushing Bride and Gray Granite.  The sentiment...isn't it lovely!....is stamped using Misty Moonlight ink.

Are you gingham crazy like me?  Yes?!  You need the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon!  It's so pretty, and it makes perfect bows!

I love the freshness of  Whisper White, Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee for the cardbase & layers! You'll find the measurements on my video.

The finished card you see above looks a little different than in the video.  I admit it - I messed up.  The Cinnamon Cider piece under the senitment wasn't long enough so I very carefully removed it...well...not so carefully - I ripped the piece with all the stamping.  So...I cut up one of the sprigs from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, placed it strategically, and ta da...fixed!  Well....not quite LOL.  I realized as soon as I finished my video that I had forgotten to use the Elegant Faceted Gems.  Last change...I promise. 😉

I hope you enjoyed my video today, and my card!  If you wish to purchase any of the products you've seen in my video, you can SHOP HERE  and please use my current Host Code YZ9QKX72 at the checkout.
