Unique Fun-Fold Christmas Card | Tidings & Trimmings from Stampin' Up!

 Hello again crafty friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  In Canada, we celebrated  Thanksgiving, spent time with family and probably ate a bit too much!

Today I have another unique fun-fold card to share with you!  For all the dimensions, please be sure to view my video tutorial further down in this post.

I'm proud of my first attempt at making this card!  Yup...this is it, and I want you to give this design a try!  

I used the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set for the sentiments which I heat embossed in gold and the greenery, stamped in Garden Green is from Sparkle of the Season.

After heat embossing and stamping, I cut the sentiment layer and gold foil using my Layering Circles dies, then adhered the pieces together.

This DSP is gorgeous and in planning my card I realized it would be perfect for a Christmas card!  I feel like I hit the jackpot!

I wanted a WOW inside for the person receiving my card!  Same greenery stamp as on the front of the card, gold heat embossed sentiment cut with one of my Tasteful Labels dies and Simply Elegant trim in gold!

I made a Vellum belly band for my card, and popped up the greeting on Dimensionals.  

We have a room full of plants - the perfect backdrop for this photo!

Fall Inspiration Cards Blog Hop!

Hi Crafty Friends and welcome to our monthly Stamping Symphony blog hop!  We're focusing on 'fall' for our cards, which seems appropriate with cooler temperatures and leaves changing colour.

Here's my card!

When pulling paper for this card I wasn't necessarily looking for a complete match, rather, to have a balance of textures.  The softness in the pattern of the Hand-Penned DSP reminds me of vintage wallpaper. 

Our cork specialty paper brings an earthy rustic vibe that works in harmony with the patterned paper.  I used one of my Tailor Made Tags dies to crop the cork paper! 

I love the shimmery Pearlescent paper die cut wreath as a delicate backdrop for the gold pumpkins!  It's like the frosting on the cake!  

The leafy wreath, pumpkins & leaves were all cut using the Seasonal Swirl dies which can be purchased separately or in the Sparkle of the Season Bundle.

More Sneak Peeks Mini Catalogue & Sale-a-bration

Welcome Crafty Friends!  I have a confession to make.  I had planned on sharing the Sparkle of the Season bundle with you but couldn't stop stamping so I extended that share to include the Penguin Place bundle!  

Let's begin with the Sparkle of the Season bundle.  Upon first glance you might be thinking Christmas, fall, Halloween.  Me too, however I see even more possibilities!

The starry wreath reminded me of a mobile in a baby's room, and a baby card was born!

I find it's the little touches that make a card like this so sweet!  The tiny bow with the rhinestone.  The embossing of the heart.  The softness of the Vellum Doily.  There's lots going on with my card, but by keeping the colour pallet simple, it just works!

Cute sets aren't my usual, but I couldn't resist the Penguin Place bundle!

So seriously, how cute is this penguin!  Other than the cuteness overload, I love the options: there's a balloon and birthday sentiment, cute greetings, a cute font, a bow tie, antlers, and so much more!  

Lately I've been quite smitten with non-traditional colours for Christmas cards. Fresh and pretty!  Don't get me wrong, I love traditional colours.
