Hello crafty friends! Our Positive Inkers Design Team has been busy creating beautiful cards for our Feb 1st blog hop! This month our theme is the Jan-April Mini Catalogue, and to use 2 products.
Here's my finished card! I've been asked, 'Where do you get your ideas for cards?' I'll let you in on my secret....I go to Instagram and search for the name of the stamp set I'm using for my card, and then take pics of the cards I like. Next....I create something completely different. 😁 True story. I get the inspiration I need, and start the card(s).
I love the floral images in the Fragrant Flowers Bundle from Stampin' Up! Gorgeous! I found myself visualizing several different ways I could use this bundle!
My cardbase & layer are both Basic Gray, and I stamped the large flowers on the layer. Next, I stamped the flowers on Basic White, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. If you haven't used Stampin' Blends - you need 'em! I used Smoky Slate & Mossy Meadow.
Once I finished colouring, I used one of the Fragrant Flowers dies to cut the floral image. And if you know me....you know I had to pop it up with Dimensionals!

A few finishing touches included embossing Basic White using the Cane Weave folder which I cut using the large circle die in Stylish Shapes, adding silver Elegant trim and Milky Dots.
I would love to hear from you. Do you like/love the card? Leave me a message!

SNEAK PEEK
When I saw the Country Floral Lane Suite in the new Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! it went to the top of my must-have list! The stamp images are so pretty and definitely versatile for a variety of occasions. And there's a punch that cuts 2 sizes of hearts, plus leaves. Love patterned paper? This suite comes with 2 different packages of paper - gingham and gorgeous patterns. There's more - 2 rolls of ribbon - a real red & burlap ribbon combo pack, and Pastel Adhesives. What an amazing suite!
Our monthly blog hop theme for December is a Colour Inspiration Challenge! Some crafters find challenges like this a bit daunting. Me, I'm delighted and I took our colour challenge to heart (pun intended) 😍
My FREE WEEKLY CLASSES take place every Tuesday at 7pm EST on Facebook. You can watch me make the above card & another, plus get a sneak peek of the Country Floral Lane Suite in my Video Tutorial further down in this post.
These colours are sooooooooo pretty together!
A bit of a side angle so you can see how this simple fun fold works.
I stamped off for each of the inked images to look soft and subtle! It's one of my fave techniques because you can get different depths of colour.

With a smaller writing area than most my cards, I went simple with a few stamped hearts. All the measurements are given during my video as well as product information.

Welcome crafty friends to our Positive Inkers Global Design Team blog hop! We're super excited to be featuring new products from the just released July-Dec Mini Catalogue!
I love Christmas - everything about Christmas, however, it's July and a tad early for Christmas cards. Sooooo, my card features a Christmas set called Boughs of Holly, but I made it non-Christmas. Measurements, card and product details are in my Video Tutorial further down in this post.
My colour pallet is subtle, lending itself to many occasions - new baby, wedding, birthday, anniversay, retirement, new house...and likely more!
These colours too gorgeous together!
The care and attention to detail in Stampin' Up! dies never fails to amaze me! Check out these lovely layered die cut pieces from the Boughs of Holly Bundle!
One way to add depth and texture to your cards is to use embossing folders or background dies. For my card I used the Stitched Greenery die. It's fun & whimsical!
Heat embossing the greeting in silver helped keep the soft look of the card. It also adds an elegant shine!
When more sparkle is needed, my go-to products are Basic Rhinestone Jewels and Glittered Organdy Ribbon!
