Adorable Owls | Sneak Peek | Sale-a-bration | Blog Hop

 Happy New Year crafty friends! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. This is another exciting day as it's our Positive Inkers Design Team Blog Hop and you're getting another Sneak Peek! Our theme this month is Sale-a-bration and I've used the uber cute Adorable Owls from Stampin' Up! It's one of the FREE choices with your $60 order!

Here's my card!  And guess what!!  You're getting 3 Sneak Peeks - woohoo!  See the full stamp set, patterned paper & dies in my video further below in this post -  will be posted after 9pm EST on Jan 2.

First - how cute is this owl!  There are 3 cutie-pie owls & 3 greetings in the set that are perfect for many occasions.  My grandson's 3rd birthday is coming up and he loves all types of critters so I'm certain he'll love an owl card!

Those eyes had me at first glance!  I coloured them using my light Soft Succulent blend.  For the rest of the colouring I went with 'less is more' and left lots of white on the owl.  I used Crumb Cake & Smoky Slate blends and kind of mixed them for a unique colour.

Sneak Peek #2 is one of the dies from Conversation Bubbles - be sure to watch my video (below) for a good look at that bundle!  I was super delighted to see the greeting from Adorable Owls fit into one of the dies! 

Sneak Peek #3 - the cool patterned paper is from Ready to Ride.  When you see this paper in the new Mini you might think it's for masculine card, but I beg to differ. 😊 It has an awesome shine to it, that gives the card a soft look.  However, to give the card a bit of an edge, I cut the paper using one of the Basic Border dies. And again, to soften the card, I used Pool Party Sheer Ribbon - my fave ribbon from the Annual Catalogue!

Sneak Peek | Love for You Bundle | Friend Card

Welcome lovely stamping friends to my 3rd Sneak Peek from the upcoming Jan-April Mini Catalogue!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

We've just had white-out blizzards and lots of snow, so to lift spirits I've created a colourful card using the Love For You Bundle from Stampin' Up!  This card makes me so happy!

When I saw the Country Floral Lane Suite in the new Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! it went to the top of my must-have list!  The stamp images are so pretty and definitely versatile for a variety of occasions. And there's a punch that cuts 2 sizes of hearts, plus leaves. Love patterned paper?  This suite comes with 2 different packages of paper - gingham and gorgeous patterns.  There's more - 2 rolls of ribbon - a real red & burlap ribbon combo pack, and Pastel Adhesives.  What an amazing suite!

Our monthly blog hop theme for December is a Colour Inspiration Challenge!  Some crafters find challenges like this a bit daunting.  Me, I'm delighted and I took our colour challenge to heart (pun intended) 😍

A bit of a side angle so you can see how this simple fun fold works.  

I stamped off for each of the inked images to look soft and subtle!  It's one of my fave techniques because you can get different depths of colour.

Another Sneak Peek | Annual Catalogue | Positive Inkers Blog Hop

Welome to my blog and our Positive Inkers Global Design Team monthly blog hop!  We're celebrating the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue that goes live on May 3rd! 

Here's my finished card!

I'm featuring several new goodies from the catalogue.  

Can you spot them? 

Love love love the Hues of Happiness designer series paper!

Gorgeous colours that give the flowers depth.  The paper for the greeting is from the back of the same paper, and I heat embossed 'best wishes' from the Happiness Abounds stamp set in white, then cut it using a banner die from Stylish Shapes.

Next, I die cut the flowers using the Blossoming Happiness dies.

Also new - the greenery, or in this case, the white greenery 😊

I used the wreath in the Natural Print dies, cut it apart to use as leaves & sprigs.

I fell head over heals for the Dots & Spots die!  What a super background for projects!

Sneak Peek Flowering Tulips Bundle from Stampin' Up! and Blog Hop!

I think this might be the first time I've used the Timeworn Type embossing folder, and you know I love embossing folders!!  The texture it brings to my card is simply amazing!  

Let's get to the Sneak Peek!  I cut the tulips in Poppy Parade with my brand new Tulips dies. I love the dainty and delicate look!  Back to the polka dot paper - it's from the Flowering Fields DSP and is just one of many gorgeous designs!
