In Colour Challenge | Positive Inkers Design Team | Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends! You are in for a colour treat today because our Positive Inkers Design Team have been busy creating cards based on our August Challenge - use 2023-2025 In Colours from Stampin' Up!

For my card, I chose the gorgeous combination of Moody Mauve & Pebbled Path!

I started my card layer by using a Blending Brush, one of the Foursquare Decorative Masks and Moody Mauve ink to create a subtle background. I love the creative possibilities with the masks - I feel artsy!

Irresistible Blooms | Birthday | Positive Inkers Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome crafty friends! It's the first of the month and time for our Positive Inkers Design team to share cards we created using our Sketch Challenge!

At the bottom of this post is my video tutorial with all the card details.

Stampin' Up! Bundle: Irresistible Blooms

Paper: Basic White, Sweet Sorbet, Ready to Ride, Sun Prints

I had so much fun making this card! I love playing with colours and textures. Embossing folders are the easiest way to add texture, and for this card I used one of the brand new 3D embossing folders for the layer and the solid leaves.

I changed up the card a wee bit in my video (bottom of page)

I love the freedom to think outside the box with sketch challenges. They aren't just squares and circles to me.

Look closely at the flowers - I heat embossed onto one of the prints from Sun Prints. It's a very subtle enhancement.

With the extra pieces, I love to decorate the inside of my cards. A lovely surprise for the recipient!

Design a Daydream | Fun-Fold | Birthday Card | Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to my blog! Do you know what happens on the 15th of each month? Our Stampin' Symphony Blog Hop! This month our theme is Fun-Folds and I'm so excited to see what everyone created!

Here's my card! It's a Faux Step-Fold. Further down in this post is my how-to video tutorial with measurements etc.

Once again I showed my card to my daughter and once again, she thought too much was going on. In my 'defence', the yellow from the top paper is found in the background paper, and both have a mild pattern, thus I believe they go together beautifully. What do you think?

These colours were made for each other!

I love decorating the inside of cards! A little patterned paper, embellishments and a tag complete my card!

Faux Linen Technique | Bottled Happiness | Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends! I have an awesome technique to share with you called Faux Linen. Oddly enough in all my years of cardmaking, I happened upon this technique just last week and I knew I had to try it!

Love the richness of the colours I used for my card!

This lovely greeting is from the Happiness Abounds set and I cut it using the Label Me Fancy punch. Check out all that gorgeous texture from the Faux Linen technique! Wow!

Here's a surprise - I didn't use any dies for this card! I know eh, a big surprise for me too! It was a bit of a challenge for me as I'm addicted to Stampin' Up! dies...oooh and embossing folders! 😊

Wow Birthday Card using Alternative Colours Nature's Prints

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I'm sharing a card using the must-have Nature's Prints Bundle from Stampin' Up! I chose to use a subtle colour pallet and the resulting card is gorgeous - or at least I think so....you decide!

Here's my finished card! Measurements, tips and more info are in my Video Tutorial further down in this post.

There's lots going on with this card, but it all works so well! Texture, variations in the colours, subtle patterned paper and bling!

I love these colours together! You'll see in my video further down how I made some of the shades a bit darker which is done for interest and to keep the eyes moving over each aspect o the card!

Here's a close-up view for you! Adding the sparkly ribbon, dots and wink of stella are all the bing needed.
