Hello! Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked Bundle

Hello Crafty Friends and happy Tuesday! I've started updating my craft studio at the new house, first with new desks.  I really needed a longer desk area, and I'm lovin' the space!  Paint & flooring will happen eventually.

Tuesday's are my Facebook Live day, which means you'll find the video tutorial further down in this post.  This is one of the cards I demonstrated during my video and it features the Artistically Inked Bundle.  All measurements are given in the video.

I had my eye on this bundle, and actually the entire Expressions in Ink Suite Collection on my first viewing of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue!  From the stamps to the dies, to the DSP, to the gold and pink elements in the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack - this entire suite will not disappoint.  If 'feeling artsy' is a thing, then I feel artsy using these products!

Simply one of the most stunning suites, in my humble opinion.

I love how the stamped flower offers such depth with the light and dark areas.  Superb!  In contrast, I wanted a playful centre of the flower.  The dotted stamp and die are both in the bundle - how awesome is that!!

The leaves are attached with half a glue dot - yuppers - I cut a glue dot in half!  Once adhered, I gently turned up the ends of the leaves, giving the illusions of motion.

What a stroke of luck to design the card, then find gorgeous matching DSP from the suite!  I may have yahoo'd out loud!

I love the detail and airy look of the leaves - all from 1 die!  They're attached with half a glue dot - yuppers - I cut a glue dot in half!  Once adhered, I gently turned up the ends of the leaves, giving the illusions of motion.

Bonus Card ft Color & Contour from Stampin' Up!

Hello Crafty Friends!  I have a treat for you today!  A bonus card!  Earlier this week I made cards during my Facebook Live featuring the Color & Contour Bundle.....well, I just kept playing with the products!

I created this Thank You card and I love it!  It's fresh and fun! To find out how I made this card....read on....

My card base is Crumb Cake, and measures 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2.  The layer is Real Red, and then Crumb Cake again for the top layer.

Doesn't the 'splatter' image make a fun backdrop!  Love it!  I heat embossed the splatter & greeting in black.  It looks so dark and rich and gives a wee shine to the card!

In the picture below you can see the dies I used for the layers.  Check out this bundle... seriously versatile!  I love when a bundle offers so many the possibilities!

Have you tried our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper?  I prefer it over the many types of watercolor paper I've tested.  To start, I used water in my Stampin' Spritzer and got the paper wet.  Then placed a few drops of Pear Pizzaz ink refill and one drop of Daffodil Delight onto an acrylic block.  With my Water Painter (full of water), I picked up some of the Pear Pizzaz and brushed it onto the wet watercolor paper, and then did the day with Daffodil Delight.

I repeated the above steps on another block with a drop each of Red Red & Poppy Parade.  Same process as above.

Once everything dried, I heat embossed 2 leaf images and the flower using Stampin' White Embossing Powder.  There's a die to cut out the flower from the bundle, and for the leaves, it's an easy fussy cut.

I'm a HUGE fan of dimensionals, and used them to pop up the top layer, and also the flower & leaves!  Use them, and you can easily take a simple card and give it depth!  No craft room is complete without dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Fancy Phrases with Watercolour Pencils

Hello friends!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

For my video & blog post yesterday I used Stampin' Blends with the Fancy Phrases stamp set, and today I decided to play with our Watercolour Pencils, and am so happy with the result!

My cardbase is Basic Black as is the layer (kind of hard to see in this photo). I heat embossed the sentiment using White Stampin' Emboss Powder, and did a quick fussy cut.  I'm really getting the hang of fussy cutting and am love the look!

Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, I stamped the image onto Crumb Cake cardstock.  I started with my Whisper White Watercolour Pencil and went over each flower a few times to get the white as deep as possible - that is...without using water.  Onto Mango Melody for most leaves and some of the flowers, the Granny Apple Green.  I did try a wee bit of Bermuda Bay on one of the flowers, just for a lark!  Next, I cut the paper using one of my Layering Ovals Dies.

Be sure to add this stamp set to your shopping list!
At the bottom of this post you'll find pics of all the products I used, and by clicking on the item you can shop via my online store.

The beautiful gold you see is the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.  So pretty!  The floral layer is popped up on Dimensionals, as is the sentiment.  And guess what.....so is the Basic Black layer!  I'm all about adding depth and dimension to cards!  Are you as well?

Finishing Touches
I felt the card needed ribbon....but just a wee bit, so I cut about 1.5 inches of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon, folded it over and secured it using a Glue Dot.  And last but not least - Elegant Faceted Gems for a pretty bit of bling!

What are your thoughts on my card today?
You know I love hearing from you, so please feel free to leave a comment!
